Ethical Kids Clothing: OM BABY (+ a GIVEAWAY!)
The instagram community has become very dear to me. There is a lot of scrolling to be done when you are feeding a baby many times in a day (and night) and I'm such a visual person, I just LOVE beautiful pictures. Not only have I been able to connect with other like-minded mamas through our #motherhoodalive hashtag, but I have so enjoyed stumbling onto great small businesses through the platform, particularly ethical kids clothing. One of those small business I have come across during the wee small hours is the beautiful childrenswear brand Om Baby. Om Baby is run by lovely Alice, who, with a background in print and design, set up Om just after her daughter Edie was born. I have completely fallen in love with the textiles and prints that Alice uses, which have a distinct Eastern vibe - paying homage to Alice's love of India. Each piece is handmade and they are so beautiful, simple and unisex. For someone who is reluctant to drape her girl baby in all of the frills, I feel like Om Baby clothing nails it in not stereotyping boys and girls clothes. See for yourself!
Ah! Aren't they so beautiful?! I want some in grown up sizes for myself! Baby harems, onesies (or omsies!), bloomers and bibs in the most beautiful fabrics. What I also love is that they are designed with cloth bums in mind so there is a little more room around the toosh! Ada is still a little bit too tiny for our cloth nappies yet, but I cannot wait to see her big cloth booty in these when she's ready for them!
Alice has been super kind and has offered to give away a pair of baby/toddler harems & a bib to someone over on my Instagram - all you have to do is make sure you are following both myself & Om Baby on IG, and tag a friend who would love them too under the picture I put up outlining the giveaway!
What are you waiting for?! Head over to instagram to enter, or to the Om Baby shop to get your hands on some of these beautiful, ethically made pieces!
