Oh, I know - I've been absent. But I've got good excuses, I promise! We've had 7 different visitors at our house over the last 3 weeks. I LOVE hospitality and having people stay, it's busy and our house has been buzzing. I've also been hanging with my mum & Auntie Moe who are visiting from Canada - it has been so good to have them here - my washing has never been so up to date. Add to that, the juggling of work and a very energetic four year old who has had a little trouble with any kind of separation from me lately. Anyway, I'm back with lots of inspiration from some down time and I thought I'd kick off more regular posting with some greatness I've come across on the internet of late with a little edition of....
- Levi isn't a massively picky eater (which is miraculous given that Dave is just about the pickiest eater known to personkind), but I do have friends who have kids that struggle - Cup of Jo posted this great blog to help parents navigate picky eaters a bit better.
- I just love these tees by Selfish Mother (a GREAT Blogzine keeping it real about motherhood). Profits from each sale goes to Women for Women International - a charity that provides skill-building for women from war-torn nations.
- As well as managing Freedom Acts, I sit on the board of another local anti-trafficking charity, No More Traffik. This month, they launched a great campaign to help the public be more aware of the signs of human trafficking as they travel for holidays on air, sea and land. The #traffikfreetravel campaign also includes blogposts and giveaways for people to get involved in. Check it out here and help spread the word!
- Sometimes I guest-write for other people and places and forget to tell you - so HERE is a post I wrote for Moral Fibres about my ethical style, HERE is a post I wrote for DotComGiftShop about Tips for a Playful Kids Room and HERE is a post I wrote on ethical living for Darling Edna!
Have a fab weekend folks!
