WOMEN’S CIRCLE

Friday, May 17th 10AM - 3PM

£70 (or 2x payments of £35)

You are invited to join me for a day of sitting in circle with other women, hearing each others’ stories and making space for you to be heard and known. A full day experience, hosted by me, Mel Wiggins and fully catered by Eileen McKeown of Moreish Good Food!

CIRCLE ETHOS

Sitting in circle together to witness each others stories and experiences is a practice that is as old as time. Our ancestors used circles as a way to hear, to learn, to solve conflicts and to heal.

This model of community might seem familiar to you in some ways but may feel different in experience; especially in our culture that is obsessed with ‘fixing’ ourselves and each other through learning or doing.

Sitting in circle really is the purest form of community; breaking down any hierarchies of knowledge or power and creating space where we simply all share to be known and listen to know. No fixing. No advice. No tools or solutions.

Sounds too simple to be powerful, and yet it is.

CIRCLE IS FOR YOU IF…

+ You are curious about women’s circles and are looking for a space to be in community.

+ You want some time out for yourself, away from your responsibilities to gain some clarity and nurturing.

+ You are keen to explore new ways of connecting with yourself and others that shifts traditional views on self-help.

WHAT WOMEN ARE SAYNG ABOUT CIRCLE…

  • “This day was so much more than I had expected. I have been to many of your online events and gatherings over the past few years and taken so much from those. The in-person aspect took all of that to another level. I had expected a beautiful room. I had expected delicious food. I had expected wonderful hosting. I had not expected the energy that comes into the room when women gather. I had not expected the unlocking of so many feelings, the openness and the sharing.”

  • “I gained so much from the day so firstly, thank you so much for creating an authentic, safe space for this kind of community. It was so refreshing and nourishing. I think a lot of that was led by you in the way in which you showed up and engaged with humour, honesty and genuine interest - so thank you for leading by example.”

  • “Thank you for an amazing day! Such a beautiful sharing of hopes, aspirations, fears and dreams with an incredible womanhood. New courage was found and old self-restricting beliefs were released. Strangers became friends. Forever grateful for this day.”

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

REFLECTION

I’ll be taking us through some of the essential theory behind this type of women’s circle which will allow you space for some personal reflection. This is beautiful, vulnerable, important work.

SITTING IN CIRCLE

Through this reflection you’ll then be invited to share, in circle, your findings. There is no obligation to participate/share, but being witnessed is super powerful and healing.

NOURISHMENT

We’ll also (of COURSE) be taking time to honour our bodies with beautifully catered food throughout. You’ll feel so cared for and looked after in this space.
